UX Tips for Highly Converting Pages

The goal of every business is to increase their worth, which is their primary focus is to earn a profit. The purpose of creating a website for a business is essentially the same as their overall goal, i.e. to gain leads or sales from it. However, getting sales or leads from a website is not just about how good your marketing tactics or products are. It is also about how good your website is for targeted users and how well it relates to their needs. This can be ensured by working on two main things: design and content.

Design and content of a website are two different things, but they are interconnected. The presentation of content, including text, image, and video, is designed. The combination of both is a part of what we call, user experience.

User experience is not a product, rather it is an ongoing experience of the user that starts from their initial touch point with the product and continues till they keep using the product. Hence, a user’s interaction with a product’s website is also part of UX. This is why it is important to make sure that a website delivers a delightful experience to its users. Here are a few tips to accomplish that.

CTA Position

CTA is perhaps one of the most important elements of a website. A Call-to-Action, as the name suggests, directs users to make some action. It could be an action to submit a form, add a product to a cart or chat with a representative. Either way, such interaction is what makes a user enter the sales funnel. Therefore, the position of CTA is important. The standard practice is to position it on first fold below some heading and then repeat the CTA on every fold to facilitate users to take action from wherever they are on the page.

CTA Color

Just like its position, the color of CTA is also important to make sure that it is easily visible to the users. This is done by making sure that it stands out from the rest of the elements on a website. The general rule of thumb is to go for a red or green color, but the basic concept is to go for a color that has high contrast with the other colors of the theme.

Font Legibility

Since content is part of the design and it is important to UX, it makes sense to ensure the legibility of a website. This depends on the choice of typeface, font size, kerning, line length, tracking, leading, and color. The general rule of thumb is that size must be at least 16px or 1em. For the rest of the factors, you need to adjust it using your own judgment.
